Standard Terms & Conditions of Trade.

Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully. By employing the services of Yeo Media Pty Ltd T/A Yard Groomers you will be accepting a contract with us and will be seen to have agreed and understood the following terms and conditions.

  1. GENERAL:

Yard Groomers reserves the right to refuse or decline work at its discretion and without giving any reason.
You the Client agrees that it is your responsibility to make yourself aware of these Terms & Conditions.
Yard Groomers reserves the right to modify or replace these Standard Terms & Conditions of Trade at any time. Once published, the new or modified Standard Terms & Conditions of Trade becomes the Standard Terms & Conditions of Trade for all new orders.

  1. PRICES:

All prices are valid for five (5) days unless otherwise agreed. Please note that should the nature of the maintenance change within the five (5) day period such as but not limited to extra grass growth, an explosion of weeds, or the introduction of new garden furniture, then a new quote will be required.
Prices for regular mowing are based on maintained lawns. When a lawn is allowed to become longer than normal a surcharge or higher rate may apply.

  1. PAYMENT:

Due to ensuring the security of your property and our vehicles we do not accept cash or cheques unless specially agreed to in writing by management for exceptional circumstances.
If cash is approved as an approved payment method we require you the Client to be present when the job is completed so payment can be made in person without change required.
Our preferred payment method is by Debit or Credit Card.

We require payment before leaving the property for all work completed unless arrangements have been made with management. We have two (2) options for payment that we freely offer:

  • The easiest way to pay for your service is by supplying Yard Groomers with your debit or credit card details and signing the required “Credit Card Authorization Form”. We do the work, send you an invoice and process the payment without you needing to do anything but book us in. We will not charge your card until the day’s work is completed.
  • The second best option is to pay by Debit or Credit Card in person on the completion of the day’s work. You the Client are required to be present at the time of completion of the day’s work. If you are not present we reserve the right to charge a $20 administration fee for the collection of payment.

Late payment may result in the delay of scheduled maintenance days. If you the Client still have outstanding account/s for any reason, Yard Groomers reserves the right to charge a $15 late fee and also delay all future work until your account/s are paid in full.
Yard Groomers also reserves the right to recover any expenses or costs incurred by Yard Groomers in recovering any outstanding amounts, including debt collection agency fees or commissions and all legal costs will be payable by you the Client.
If payments are more than 45 days overdue, Yard Groomers reserves the right to engage the services of a debt collection agency. This includes handing all information over to the debt collection agency such as your private details such as name, address, phone number, etc. You the Client, by engaging the services of Yard Groomers authorise Yard Groomers to supply all your personal information to any debt collection agency if your account is more than 45 days overdue.

  1. CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS:

Yard Groomers requires you the Client to give no less than 12 hours notice of any change to the maintenance day or cancellation of a scheduled service. Changes to your service or frequency can easily be arranged by calling Yard Groomers office on 1800 957 156.
Failure to give 12 hours notice could result in Yard Groomers charging the full price for your maintenance.
Yard Groomers reserves the right to terminate or cancel any job and/or contract at any time without reason.

  1. ACCESS:

The Client is to ensure that a clear arrangement has been made regarding access to the property prior to the agreed service date. Failure to do so may result in the area not being serviced and in some cases a re-visit fee of $20.00 may be charged.
The Client is to ensure that any dogs that are or are likely to be protective of the property are restrained on the service date. Failure to do so, may result in the area not being serviced and in some cases a re-visit fee of $20.00 may be charged.

  1. COMMUNICATION AND COMPLAINTS:

Clients often develop a good working relationship with their gardener. This is positive, but can sometimes make it difficult to discuss any complaints the Client may have. With Yard Groomers, you can enjoy a good working relationship with your gardener while raising any questions or concerns with our office by calling 1800 957 156.

  1. DAMAGE:

Yard Groomers is a fully insured company. In the rare event one of our employees causes damage to your property, we require that you report the matter to our office by phone within 24 hours, with full particulars provided in writing (email or letter) within 3 days.

  1. OUR 24-HOUR GUARANTEE:

If you the Client are not completely satisfied with the service you are provided, simply inform Yard Groomers within 24 hours and we will happily bring the area you are dissatisfied with up to standard. Due to the personal and subjective nature of yard maintenance, we do not offer refunds. However, we want you to be 100% satisfied with Yard Groomers and will promptly address any concern you may have.

  1. DELAYS TO THE SERVICE DAY:

Due to circumstances beyond our control including, but not limited to, equipment failure or ill health, we may be delayed by 48 hours for the service day – we appreciate your understanding.
Furthermore due to weather conditions that are beyond our control, we may be delayed for an unknown amount of time. If bad weather does delay us we will be in contact to discuss the best option in regards to waiting until the rain finishes or mowing in the rain. Please be aware that if the lawn becomes overgrown due to weather conditions a surcharge will apply due to the extra work involved.

  1. SAFETY:

Yard Groomers has a safety policy in place to ensure the safety of all employees, Clients and bystanders. No work will be completed unless this policy is strictly adhered to. You the Client agree to follow any instructions provided to you by Yard Groomers representatives in regards to safety while they are completing the job.

  1. GOVERNING LAW:

These Standard Terms & Conditions of Trade shall be governed by the laws of the State of Queensland and the Commonwealth of Australia as appropriate.
